Celebrating Canada Day
A guide on how to keep up usual Canada Day festivities during an unusual time
We are here to help you plan the best COVID-friendly backyard gathering to kick off July and celebrate a nation-wide holiday! It may not be the same sort of party you threw last year, but we assure you that the following tips will help keep the fun going.
First things first: it is important to stick with government guidelines. The province of Quebec has allowed for gatherings of up to 10 people. It is also recommended that these 10 people are members of max 3 different households. Nonetheless, whatever the weather may be on July 1st, you are allowed to host inside or outside, as long as these guidelines are followed.
Festive & fun food ideas:
We are entering BBQ season! How about ordering up some Canadian Grade AAA beef from one of our local markets. Check out the options at www.marchespublics-mtl.com or www.boucheriegrinder.ca
Although terasses are open, it is important to continue to support all our restaurants since they cannot operate at full capacity. Try great take out from this eclectic list of some of our faves:

Candian Music on Spotify
Canada is the home of many talented and diverse artists. Listen to country-pop by Shania Twain, up beat tunes by Justin Bieber, old-school hits by the Tragically Hip and folk songs by Neil Young! Spotify has a great playlist called “Canadian Singers” that has what you need.
Don’t forget the Canadian paraphernalia!
Now that stores have the official ‘OK’ from the government to reopen, let’s support our local shops! Spice up your gathering with the red and white flag, cowboy hats, bandanas and temporary tattoos. You can even make Canada face masks! Here
Happy Canada Day from our family to yours.
